To become the leading European technology company for education Signpost Group is always looking to further professionalise its operations in order to accelerate growth.
The group already had a strong board of directors with top investors such as Steven Buyse (CVC), Stefan Tournoy (Vente-Exclusive, Veepee), Hans Hermse (ex-Exact Software), Pieter Barremaecker (co-founder Signpost) & Arne Vandendriessche (CEO Signpost Group), who will now be joined by Luuk Slaats.
Luuk Slaats has been the CEO of Uniserver Group for several months, but is best known as the former CEO of Centralpoint. He sold Centralpoint to the Swedish Dustin Group in 2021 on behalf of Altor Equity Funds. Led by Luuk, Centralpoint tripled in revenue to over 700 million euro, thus becoming the largest value-added reseller in the Benelux.
Arne Vandendriessche, CEO of the Signpost Group: “Luuk has proven that he is capable of creating a European IT group at an amazing pace and has shown himself to be a very strategic yet hands-on CEO. I am glad we can call on him as a director to accelerate our ambitions as a group. During the first board meeting, we quickly found that we had found the right person to accelerate our company in the right direction. He knows the industry and shares the same values and DNA as our company.”
Luuk Slaats: “Signpost is an ambitious organisation. Accelerating international growth and becoming the leading player in European education are not just nice aspirations. The need to further digitalise European education is evident. In that sense, it is an honour to work with a strong board of top investors to further shape Signpost’s important mission.”
