Junior Platform Specialist

Signpost offers solutions for educational institutions, staff, teachers and students in several European countries and is the market leader in Belgium. We adopt a service-oriented approach that combines connectivity, hardware, software, digital teaching methods and training.

You will be joining Academic Software, the team that specialises in software for schools. Academic Software acts as an intermediary for the purchase of software licences (such as Microsoft and Adobe) and offers an online software portal with more than 900 software titles for secondary and higher education.

What does your day as a Junior Platform Specialist look like?

For the expansion of Academic Software we are looking for a Platform Specialist. You will have an extensive and varied range of tasks. You will be responsible for:

  • Compiling packages within the Academic Software platform.

  • Testing the prepared packages.

  • Assessing whether current instructions are sufficiently clear and complete. Should these prove insufficient, you will make proposals to simplify/improve instructions where necessary.

  • Adding new packages and laying a foundation for accompanying instructions so that the content team can improve/translate them.

  • Updating manuals and existing instructions as and when a software title is updated.

As a Junior Platform Specialist you possess the following skills:

  • You are inspired by our growth path and our vision of digitalisation in education.

  • You have a bachelor's degree and have knowledge of scripting.

  • You are skilled in conducting customer conversations, both in person and through Teams meetings, to identify customers' technical needs to set up the platform.

  • In addition, you are eager to learn, accurate and have a good eye for quality.

  • You manage deadlines with ease.

  • Moreover, you have an excellent knowledge of Dutch. Do you also have a good knowledge of French and English? That's a big plus!
